G.Zandanshatar, the Chairman of the State Great Hural of Mongolia and H.Otsuji, the President of the House of Councillors of the National Diet of Japan held official talks

G.Zandanshatar, the Chairman of the State Great Hural of Mongolia has paid an official visit to Japan from March 1 to 5, 2023 at the invitation of H.Otsuji, the President of the House of Councillors of the National Diet of Japan.

During the visit, (2023.03.02), G.Zandanshatar, the Chairman of the State Great Hural of Mongolia, held official talks with H.Otsuji, the President of the House of Councillors of the National Diet of Japan.

The parties mentioned, at the beginning of the meeting, that this visit is of a great importance in expanding the bilateral relations to the level of "Special Strategic Partnership for Peace and Prosperity" and emphasized that it is an event that further strengthens the ties between the highest legislative bodies of the two countries.

 

G. Zandanshatar, the Chairman of the State Great Hural expressed that the people of Mongolia are always grateful for the generous support of the Japanese government and people to strengthen democracy, to form a market economy system and to ensure social and economic development in Mongolia. He mentioned that 2023 has been announced as the “Year to visit Mongolia” and invited H.Otsuji, the President of the House of Councillors of the National Diet of Japan to visit Mongolia at his convenience.

He also expressed his commitment for the continuation of the two-stage loan project for the development of small and medium-sized enterprises and environmental protection that have been successfully implemented by the Japanese International Cooperation Agency (JICA) in Mongolia and requested H.Otsuji, the President of the House of Councillors of the National Diet of Japan to support on the decision to launch the third stage of the project.

In order to support the cultural exchange between Mongolian and Japanese youth and to ensure their right to development and education, he furthermore asked for support in establishing a "Work and Holiday Visa Agreement" with Japan.
