A Mongolian delegation led by Ms. B. Zandan, Director General of the Investment and Trade Agency of Mongolia, held a meeting and exchange session with officials of the Tokyo Metropolitan Government and representatives from Mongolia’s energy and finance sectors.

During the meeting, the Tokyo Metropolitan Government presented “Toward a Resilient Tomorrow – Tokyo: A Global Financial Hub Paving the Way for a Sustainable Future,” highlighting Tokyo’s strategic focus on resilience, globalization, and innovation. The delegation also received a briefing on Tokyo’s decarbonization initiatives, including renewable energy, energy efficiency, and GX (Green Transformation) promotion projects with Global South countries.

The two sides exchanged views on potential cooperation in green finance, renewable energy, battery energy storage systems (BESS), sustainable urban development, and investment promotion. Representatives from Mongolia’s public and private sectors engaged in productive discussions on strengthening partnerships and advancing sustainable development initiatives between Mongolia and Japan.
